Pic of the day – ERA 1982
On June 30, 1982 my daughter was six months old. I was wearing this Tshirt. Now she is wearing it. Bravo, gal, bravo.
Earlier this week a photo was making the rounds on Facebook of the Eiffel Tower in the background of a sky full of brassieres being tossed in the air by a host of women. I reposted the photo, commenting how I remember things like that happening here during lobbying for the ERA. For those of you not old enough to remember, the ERA was the Equal Rights Amendment. To this day I find it impossibly irrational that it did not pass.
